What is Sacramento's Second Saturday Art Walk?
VISIT OUR NEW WEBSITE:
On the second Saturday of each month,
galleries in Sacramento, California stay open for a Sacramento Art Walk late
into the evening, allowing people to walk from gallery to gallery, viewing,
experiencing and discovering local art galleries and meeting artists.
Second Saturday is a night to wander
about, visit galleries and have fun! You can meet the artists, people
watch, socialize and enjoy time with friends and maybe buy a piece of art or two
and then enjoy a
bite to eat at one of the dozens of restaurants.
While galleries all over Sacramento
participate, galleries are clustered into two main areas:
and along Del Paso Boulevard in the
Both of these areas supports a thriving and innovative arts community. The
venues' close proximity, walkable streets, interesting boutiques and restaurants
make these areas perfect for a leisurely walk. More galleries are opening
downtown and Old Sacramento, as well.

Mother-daughter team of Diane and Dawn teamed up a to provide cool art and
floral arrangements and was a big destination on Second Saturdays. A few years
ago the business down-sized to being a floral design company when Diane moved to
San Francisco. Ruby joined the team a couple of years ago and Diane is now back
in Sacramento and the three women are making a SPLASH back onto the Sacramento
art scene with their new location at 1801 L Street!

The Artists' Collaborative Gallery, organized
by local and regional artists, recently moved from its former Old
Sacramento address to 910 15th Street, between I and J Streets. The new
gallery site is just around the corner from the Sacramento Convention
Center and across the street from the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.
The ACG has been in existence for more than 25 years and features the
work of highly talented award-winning artists from a wide variety of
creative backgrounds. Visitors to the gallery will find fine art [oil,
pastel, acrylic, watercolor, collage, etc.], glass, ceramics,

This website is done on a volunteer basis and is
updated usually once per month, just before Second Saturday. We

new galleries, interactive maps and more! We are looking for an
inexpensive web designer! If you're interested in doing this for a nominal
fee but with exposure to several THOUSAND people every month, call Scott Farrell
at (916) 443-2057.
FOR ART VOLUNTEERS
|This website (and the gallery
Association) is looking for a SUMMER INTERN OR
